May 26, 2015 – One of the leading continuing education events dedicated to professional dog training and behavior will celebrate its 22nd anniversary when the Association of Professional Dog Trainers’ Annual Conference and Trade Show convenes at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel in Dallas, Texas, Oct. 14-17, 2015.
The four-day event will offer outstanding opportunities for professional dog trainers to increase their knowledge, business, and career through practical and comprehensive educational sessions, hands-on workshops, networking, and social events. The trade show will feature the newest products and services for dog training and behavior from over 75 exhibitors. This event consists of a variety of learning formats including: general sessions, roundtable discussions, and APDT “shorts.” The live animal workshops, which include: Guinea Pig Training: Scent Detection; From Head to Nails: Practical Uses for Desensitization and Classical Conditioning; Troubleshooting Aggression/Anxiety with Socks, Handkerchiefs, and Lunch Sacks; and On Leash Dog-Dog Encounters: Assessing Behaviors, Predicting Outcomes, Best Practices are filling quickly.
