APDT Launches Call for Speakers for 2017 Annual Conference

The Association of Professional Dog Trainers announced that the 24th Annual Educational Conference and Trade Show are now accepting speaker applications for the 2017 Annual Conference. The deadline to apply is Oct. 31, 2016. Interested professionals should review the guidelines at https://staging.apdt.com/education/presenting/conference/seminars-and-workshops/

Presentations are usually 1-2 hour sessions, which must include PowerPoint presentations. Workshops are usually 2-4 hour hands-on, animal-based interactions for attendees. Science-based research or new and timely topics will be considered.

Hundreds of presentations are submitted for this program each year. Selected proposals will need to meet the association’s guidelines. All applicants will be notified individually via e-mail by January 31, 2017.

The 24th Annual Conference will be held October 18-21, 2017, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center (Richmond Marriott) in Richmond, Va. The annual conference is one of the world’s largest continuing education events dedicated to professional dog training and is attended by hundreds of trainers, behaviorists, pet industry specialists and exhibitors.
